"I write to express our thanks and the thanks of the entire attendees of around 60 people for your tremendous effort, ability and enthusiasm at our training conference. The course content, presentation and indeed motivation were beyond anything that we had previously experienced.
Not only was the information easy to digest, but has already generated opportunities for significantly increasing sales with our distributors, and your suggestions are now already in successful use throughout the UK with our distributors sales engineers.
I look forward to your presentation next week to our internal sales team, which I'm sure will have a significant effect on both boosting our year end sales as well as continuing our growth through 2001 and beyond"
Graeme Fuller, (Managing Director & Global Sales Director), Ultrafilter International
"I would like to thank you for the time and effort you have put in to help make our Focus meeting in October a tremendous success.
Your presentation gave a real insight to our people of how important having the right attitude is, and I have received many comments from those who attended of how much benefit they personally received, and more importantly about specific actions they are going to take to make themselves more successful in their roles within Economatics.
Once again thanks for your assistance and I am sure we will have a successful business year"
Paul Adams, National Sales Manager, Economatics (Industrial) Ltd
"I would like to express my thanks to John and all at Just Communicate for their fantastic work with our overseas sales teams. prior to your involvement, we were having considerably difficulty growing our international sales of financial goods to ex-patriots. Your work in Malaysia and elsewhere for us, increased sales dramatically, and this growth pattern continued as you projected with the structural changes and training implemented.
I commend you for your personal approach and commitment to our success, and for the tremendous attitude of you and all members of your company. I consider myself fortunate to have found an invaluable business resource and a good friend at the same time."
Robert Anthony Smith, (International Sales & Marketing Director), Claymore Financial Services
"The feedback from the event and particularly your session has been phenomenal. Thank you very much for speaking and making such an impact on our delegates – 95% of them rated you and your presentation as excellent – which is outstanding!
I have also included some comments from our delegates, which were written on the feedback forms that you may also like to use.
“Could have listened to John Copeman for longer – it was fun!”
ADAM FLAWN-THOMAS, MANAGING DIRECTOR, EUROPEAN COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY
“More speakers like John Copeman please!”
DAVE EVANS, SALES ENGINEER, ACTIONPOINT
“The Accelerated Learning session was excellent.”
CRAIG SCOTT, SALES & MARKETING DIRECTOR, LASON INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
“Excellent”
DAVID DAWES, MANAGING DIRECTOR, INFORCAP TECHNOLOGIES"
Michaela Burn, (Marketing Manager), CSF Computer Suppliers Federation
"When we were organising our CAD Forum for senior managers, we thought of John Copeman. We wanted to get these senior managers to look at their investment in Computer Aided Design in a different way and to set new expectations for what their companies can achieve.
John provokes people to look at situations in a new light. His modern-day parables and anecdotes focus on the importance of change and manage to make people feel good about it. His warm style enhanced the keen and crystal-clear message."
Anne O'Leary, Managing Director, cadcoevolution
"A massive thank you for your contribution to the Leicestershire CIPD Learning & Development Conference. The session was exactly right in order to stimulate, educate and engage a Personnel/HR audience. Everybody came out of the session buzzing and wanting to learn more about Accelerated Learning. We have already been asked to include John in next years programme!"
John Kenney, (Chairman) Midlands Branch of the CIPD, Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development
"John Copeman has worked with the Professional Department at Loughborough College for the past 2 1/2 years, contributing to several internal projects and delivering to management studies delegates. John has a fairly unique style that brings freshness to any subject he teaches. He looks at delivery of learning through the eyes of the learner and therefore avoids ‘chalk and talk’ at all costs. His sessions are engaging and entertaining and invariably enthuse the learners. This is perhaps best encapsulated in feedback from delegates whose only criticism of John’s sessions is that they are too short!
John is one of these rare characters who believes in his subject area. I don’t mean ‘belief’ as a half measure but that he fully immerses himself in whatever he is teaching. His preparation is meticulous and his enthusiasm is infectious. John can facilitate a wide range of subjects. However I would say his real strength lies in accelerated learning and motivation techniques. He has the ability to make people think differently and therefore behave differently because they want to, not because he tells them they have to. Changing attitudes is the hardest thing to do and this I suspect is the essence of excellent teaching.
I was a little sceptical of John’s methods when we first met. After all, I am of the traditional school of education that believes in what John would class as ‘old fashioned’ learning. I therefore gave John a try feeling that I was taking a bit of a risk. However, I now feel that John is a safe pair of hands since not only will he entertain and educate, but will leave them wanting to come back for more. There can be no higher recommendation than that!"
Andy Cope, Management Team Leader, Loughborough College
"I will definitely take away many things from this course, into the workplace but more into my everyday life. A new goal will be to hold people’s unwavering attention! Let’s have more of it. Thank you."
Lisa McMenemy, ILM Management Student,

Sam Quinn, ILM Management Student,
"The course was absolutely fantastic, I left feeling I could make a difference. It was brilliant, the only way it could be better is to make it longer."
Sarah Marie Green, ILM Management Student,

Sangita Karelia, ILM Management Student and Facilitator,
"The weekend was absolutely amazing.
Not that I am a sceptic or anything, but on returning home and having to go to the supermarket for yet more food.....I sat in the car with my daughter for 2 minutes and played the Lemon game. She responded better than I did and could smell the lemon as well as taste it....I put this down to her being more receptive due to being only 15 years old. Just to check and because she was interested, I also tried the lemon game on a close friend who even now believes I sprayed a Lemon Scent while her eyes were closed!!!!
Due to the success with my daughter on the lemon and because she continually tells me she has a bad memory....I told her the Chicken Dippers story.... guess what she could recall every detail the next day, which just happened to be parents evening at her Grammar School (exam year)...On the way home instead of having one of those no win arguments, I simply said "change the way you throw your chicken dippers". The answer amazingly was yes I will have to"
Sharon Kinsella, N.E.B.S. Management Student,
"Is ELE (Extended Learning Experience) just a small bite sized chunk of ELEPHANT..... I think it might be. FUN. Lots of it. At some bits I really thought help, this brain stuff is confusing me, but when you get to talk to guys at work you realise just how much you retained. My cornfields are being well and truly walked. I certainly feel more positive....WHOOPEE. Is it strange the way people react when you say you are excellent."
Alyson Taylor, N.E.B.S. Management Student,
"A most interesting weekend - made me think about whole attitude concept, power of positive thought - from now on I am great, and I can achieve whatever I set my sights on, both professionally and personally. Trying to pass on my enthusiasm to colleagues at work, have others tried to pass on the info and how. I would love John to do a training session for my staff, so we could all be great!"
Sue Melling, N.E.B.S. Management Student,
"Just to say how much I enjoyed John Copeman's sessions over the ELE weekend. The exciting and vibrant discussions made the time speed by and it was all over too soon for me. During this week a number of things have arisen at work and my mind has automatically keyed me into something that was said or something that we did over the weekend. Even if it didn't help me to resolve a problem or difficulty during the week, it at least made me stop and think for a moment about how I would best approach the subject next time. I believe that this is the way forward for learning in the future and I would love to know and learn more.
If only I had been taught this way at school!"
Wendy Blackman, N.E.B.S. Management Student,
"I must admit that towards the end of Saturday, that although I found the subject interesting, I was beginning to feel confused at the volume of information loaded on me. By 9.30pm Saturday night I was absolutely shattered. As Sunday progressed, things became slightly less muddled and fall into place. My little "filing man" in my brain has been on overtime ever since, and I am now beginning to realise how much I did gain from the weekend. Several times a day little thoughts pop into my brain "positive attitude", "if you think today will be terrible it probably will be", the list goes on. In some respects it is quite spooky that all these thoughts that were deep in my sub-conscious are now suddenly emerging. Thoroughly enjoyable weekend - time well spent. John has advised that we are welcome to attend in March, and I may well do."
Paula Smith, N.E.B.S. Management Student,
"To start with I wasn't to chuffed with being at college on a Saturday/Sunday, but what a weekend. I had an absolutely excellent time. I came away feeling bloody brilliant and it obviously sank in because I've been driving my boyfriend and work colleagues up the pole telling them how wonderful they are! I think the main thing I came away with was a sense of self worth, mind over matter and basically I can do anything and if I tell myself I can't do it, then I won't do it, but if I tell myself I can, then I will. Basically, we can achieve anything. Thanks John."
Emma Stevenson, N.E.B.S. Management Student,
"Before last weekend I had read a book on Mind Mapping by Tony Buzan chiefly because I often find myself feeling dismayed at how poor my memory is. However following John's excellent weekend presentation I now feel more positive because I now realise that I have an excellent memory but ineffective recall. I am now eager to find out more about how I can improve my recall. I don't think anyone will have gone away from John's sessions without a positive response. The balls are now in our respective courts to put at least some of what he said into practice. I know that I certainly will benefit from doing so.
We are now collectively bound by that crazy image of the Polar Bear in Trainers, I know that my memory will have no problems with that one. Mind you, what price our sanity if we were able to view the whole of life's experiences in such off the wall? terms as Polar Bears wearing Trainers!
Thank you John for a most enlightening weekend."
Steve Jenkins, N.E.B.S. Management Student,

Ann Bullock, Organisational and Staff Development Manager, Loughborough College
"The Institute of Leadership and Management has a working relationship with John Copeman of Just Communicate on a number of different projects.
He has in 2003 given presentations to a number of our regional conferences and members. These seminar presentations were focussed on
Brain Based Learning Techniques and they were extremely well received. On the occasions that John has given this presentation delegates have
given a warm welcome and been very interactive and enthusiastic about the content.
As a result of the seminar presentations discussions have followed and
John is now working with the Learning Support and Development Division of ILM to develop a Professional Facilitator's Certificate to offer to
our centre database. The purpose of this particular project is to enhance the learning environment through more creative learning
environments and techniques.
I would be happy to recommend on the basis of the working relationship between ILM and Just Communicate to date, the services that can be
provided by this consultancy."
Dee Waite, Director of Learning Support & Development, Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM)
"Leicester City Council employs 15,000 employees and provides over 1000 different services to the citizens of Leicester.

Raj Patel, Head of Organisational Development & Learning, Leicester City Council
"I'm just writing to say a HUGE "Thank You"!
I'm finding it almost incredible to see the changes in so many of the TSB
guys!
I spent some time tutoring Gary and Impy yesterday, I've spoken many times
to Pete Wingell, Aidy Farmer and I caught up for a moment and all of them have felt a massive difference in the way they are and the way they want to work in the future.
Maybe I'm getting a teensy bit training-jaded, but it was wonderful to realise that training REALLY can change LIVES.
I thank you JC for what you've done"
Pauline Matturi, Training and Development Manager, Leicester City Council
"There were 4 of us from Richards Engineering who took up John's 14 day
challenge, one's still a bit of a mood hoover, but the other three have
a changed outlook after attending one of John's enlightening seminars.
We appreciate his work in helping us to adopt a more positive attitude, not only at work, but also in our home and family life.
I personally would recommend that everyone sit and talk with John for a couple of hours and see what a difference it can make"
Chris Stokes, Engineering Manager, Richards Engineering Inc - Vulcan Europe
"It's hard for speakers at conferences to make listeners think - it's even harder to get them to learn. John manages both, and that is a rare talent."
David Pardey, Director, QMD Ltd
"John always does more than JUST communicate. John has a lot of new views, eyeopening new angles on old storys, and always filled with energy.
Johns technique is simply magic!!!, and still with beautiful and heavy stuff"
Niels Foged, MD, EvenBetter, Denmark
"I took part in a Just Communicate course as part of a year in industry for my degree and gained a great deal from it. The sessions were inspiring and gave me a chance to think about aspects of my life that I had not given much thought to until that point. They included team challenges as well as individual tasks. JC encouraged a confidence in the whole group giving not just a professional view but also a personal one. I gained focus and determination from JC and his team, along with a more positive outlook to my professional and personal development."
Olivia Passey, Engineering Graduate, University of Leicester
"...each year, we look for an inspirational speaker to motivate and challenge our employees. In December 2004, John Copeman delivered this in
volumes, and we were very pleased that we had been introduced to him. In turn, I commend him to you."
Stephen Asbury, Director, Corporate Risk Systems Limited - www.crsrisk.com
"Thank you for all your support and expertise whilst acting as our MC for the Charity Ball we organised. You held the audience in the palm of your hand
all night. Your skill in holding the guests attention and motivating the room made it the event that it became."
Sam Clarke, MD, Total Event Solutions
"Just Communicate offer a range of services to open up new understanding of ones own mind. Search your inner soul, there is more hidden feelings and thoughts than most would realise.
Just Communicate are an excellent provider of business strategies, thoughts, adopted thinking and forward planning. I thank John and the team for the time spent with them, it was exhilarating."
Steve Brown, , Balfour Kilpatrick Ltd
"I attended John's Training course whilst on my CIPD college course and I can safely say its the best course I have ever attended, and I have been on lots! The way the course was formatted was excellent and flowed without fault. His course really opened my mind and allowed me to think about things in a completely different light. It gave me the tools to bend my training and teaching to all learning styles and make learning come to life.
If you want to make a difference to the way you teach or train, this course is a must. After attending this course my self belief went through the roof, as I knew I had the power to make anything happen, for me and for my learners."
Amy Dougan, , Learndirect
"I recently attended John's course on Accelerated Learning and Firing up Facilitation. There was a great deal of fun and a great deal of learning
going on. I know that other delegates and I were inspired to go away and to do things differently. I personally have put into effect many of the very
practical tips that we were offered throughout the programme. And I am still using them now because they worked. The feedback I get is that my style is now more relaxed, more memorable and that it grabs attention as it didn't before."
Claire Crafer, Founder, Crafer Consultants
"When starting on the management training course I was unsure what to expect and how involved the course would be. I now feel that this course is an
ideal way to curve the way of thinking to ensure a positive outcome to my year out. this is achieved by the work we looked at our management style
and our way of communication with people. The teaching style is informal and at a good pace and the assignment work is well supported by the
teaching."
Andrew Todd, , Year in Industry Student
"John gives a highly entertaining and engaging talk on communication - he's one of the few individuals I've seen who can get a whole room standing up and having fun without being embarrassed."
Helen Oldfield, CSF Conference Delegate,
"How often do you go on a motivational course & within a couple of weeks you can barely remember the content was? I found John's approach to be very upbeat, unconventional & slightly off the wall, but most importantly of all it had a positive impact upon the way in which I now work. His enthusiasm is infectious. He inspires folk & an essential ingredient to his method is enjoyment & some laughter."
Nick Geraghty, Sales & Marketing Manager, CLC(UK)Ltd
"I left ready to face the world, my natural cynicism and melancholia had evaporated away. Just Communicate provide an excellent service making you think through the way you act and giving you methods to improve the way you work and interact with people. It may not have changed my life yet but it certainly opened the door."
Jon Hannah, Section Head - Statistics, Department of Health
"I was inspired by 'Just Communicate' it made me feel happy; It gave me a buzz; I was impressed by the 'Why' questions - they are so true.
I have always been interested in sociology/psychology I want to learn how my own mind works and that of others and how I can better myself from sometimes being negative to being positive - I want to think and moreso believe that my glass if half full rather than my glass is half empty."
Priti Patel, Housing Officer, Leicester City Council
"I attended a Communication course, lead by John Copeman of Just Communicate. The session was really interesting and so was John! His teaching methods are not like any I've experienced before. A real display of talent, knowledge, enthusiasm for his subject and he get's everyone involved, even they shy one's!! It was a great experience, nothing like the normal boring lectures I'm used to. Thanks John, you provided me with a real insight into how we should communicate."
Justina Zurawliw, Commercial Officer, Loughborough College
"I met JC at a lecture he did for us up in York. I work for the Inland Revenue in Operational Research, a very conservative discipline alround, so was very surprised they invited someone to talk that I saw as a "motivational speaker".
However, I was very pleasantly surprised by his approach to what he was talking about. It was more to do with personal peak performance rather than jumping up in the air and shreaking and claiming to be the most positive person in the world because you smile a lot!
JC related the emotional state of thinking to scientific evidence through a persons phyisiology and the human brain in a very applicable and practical way, that illustrated how we can all be at the top of our game by 'thinking' our way through the day. I very much enjoyed it, and found it hugely useful in my everyday life and in my job. In fact, I'd like to see him again sometime!"
Kuljeet Hanspal, Analyst, Inland Revenue
"Many people think they understand brain-based learning but few really know how to apply it properly. This cannot be said of John Copeman. He has a deep understanding of the subject and an outstanding ability to present it."
Peter Kenyon, CEO, Accelerated Learning Institute, Las Vegas
"John Copeman is an excellent trainer and success coach. He not only has a comprehensive grasp of the subject matter, but he displays an uncommon ability to transfer this knowledge to others. His energy and love of the subject matter inspirational. Any teacher, instructor, or corporate manager would do well to take one of his courses."
Jean-Claude Koven, President, The Broadmore Group
"I met John at a meeting in Melton Mowbray whilst working for Wellingborough Council. I was new to local government employment and was having a few problems adapting to the way they do/did things. Having just left the armed forces, I was used to getting things done and done fairly quickly. So there I was listening to all this "local government speak", all the jargon and waffle knowing that nothing would ever get done, when we were introduced to Mr J Copeman.
This bloke got up to speak and I noticed an uncanny resemblance to Jasper Carrot! He started
to speak and I was immediately intrigued, here was a man telling me I had three brains when for the majority of my life I had been called brainless. This man was worth listening too.
So the relationship with John and Just Communicate began. We chatted for a while after the meeting and then went our separate ways. A few weeks later an opportunity arose for someone to speak at a team meeting. John was invited and gave an excellent speech, assisting many of the team to look at ways of doing things differently and focusing on new approaches.
The Council had identified the need for a leadership and management development programme to be delivered and asked me to organise it.
Various companies were approached to deliver, however Just Communicate got the vote from the senior managers. This was based on the quality of
training, minimum disturbance to the workforce and the fact that a recognised qualification would be received upon completion of the course.
John and his colleague Andy delivered the programme over the next 10 months and it proved to be a huge success, with 48 managers receiving
the ILM introductory diploma in Leadership and Management. John and Andy's approach to delivering this training was different to anything
the council workers had experienced before and proved extremely successful. Gone had the chalk and talk and in came humour, music, group
work, roll play, radio advertising, workshops and homework!
I would recommend the services of Just Communicate to anyone, John and his team strive to deliver excellence at every opportunity and in all my
dealings with them the have achieved that standard every time."
James Pollitt, Training & Development Manager, Burnley, Pendle & Rossendale PCT
"I attended a two day course run by John Copeman in early March 2005. The title of the course was communicating effectively and team dynamics.
The two day programme was structured and activity-led which I felt enabled me to engage more readily and learn the tools of
communication through the exercises. The exercises were fun but with a lot of hard work required from all of us, including homework on one occasion.
John also provided detailed written materials for the participants to refer to, which is often helpful, so that I can continue to look back at
the information.
I found John's approach engaging and focused through out the programme and I look forward to any future courses run by John."
Gita Patel, , Leicester City Council
"An insight into subconcsious communication and how to push people's buttons in the right way"
Ravi Parmar, , Aggregate Industries
"Just Communicate delivered a 10 day Leadership Development course to a mixed group of 50 Council employees (we employ 400) here at Excellent
Wellingborough Borough Council over 10 months in 2003/04.
The following was the theme was projected throughout:
"You choose your attitude - you can be brilliant if you choose to be. Your attitude has an influence on how things go for you and those
around you."
through this principle, the people on the sessions worked out for themselves: "The customer is the most important thing in my role at work"
"The Council's purpose is an ethical one - to improve the well being of the people we serve"
"I work for the Council" (not for me, the 'XX' section or the 'XX' department)
The facilitation met the challenge of working well for a diagonal slice of people, with their different starting-points and initial attitudes.
We hope to be able to run another very similar series of sessions for a further tranche of employees.
Since the main course finished, we have had Just Communicate back twice to facilitate vision-building sessions for managers and teams.
This is cutting-edge stuff; JC read the audience and keep people within their comfort zones so far as they can."
David Seabrooke, Performance & Democratic Services Manager, Borough Council of Wellingborough
"The Institute of leadership and management (ILM) has worked with John Copeman for two years on raising awareness of the need for improved communication skills in the workplace.
We have used John as a conference speaker, seminar leader, facilitator, networking leader and as a coach/mentor and on every occassion he has delivered a stunning presentation that has always been rated as excellent by his audience. It is worth remembering that these audiences mainly consisted of hard nosed sceptical managers who are very often difficult to please. On occassions John spoke at our trainer conferences and even with an audience of his peer professionals John was rated as an excellent speaker.
John always delivers a provocative, thought provoking and stimulating presentation. He knows his subject in depth and offers a refreshingly practical alternative to the textbook solution to improving communication.
I would describe John as a communications expert"
Gary Ince, Chief Executive, The Institute of Leadership and management
"Thank you John for your inspirational views about change as ever, and The Y Factor E-Zine is excellent as I love the pictures and the philosophy phrases.
I enjoy the read and the quotes from worldwide business people and I find it very uplifting especially after a 12 hour shift with Mood-Hoovers!
After that read I am ready to face the world again, batteries charged, inspirational level up, communication established, now let the games
begin.............."
Gary Jackson, Printing Manager, Quebecor World Plc U.K.
"John's easy going but highly informed style of delivery meant that I learned and laughed at the same time and it made his sessions really
enjoyable."
David Wilkin, , Leicester City Council
"The energy behind Just Communicate - John Copeman, has a unique style that 'refreshes the parts that other trainers fail to reach'. A combination of talent and enthusiasm that's truly hard to find elsewhere."
Eric Palmer, Learning & Development Co-ordinator, Leicester City Council
"Many thanks for allowing me to let the public at large realise what they are missing out on...
You came to my workplace for 2 short days, I'd never heard of you prior to this, and so was unsure of what to expect.
Given that, in my role as a trainer, I was keen to deliver the best training in an imaginative way, I consider that being around for your course was extremely valuable. It was life changing in that it changes attitudes of those you touch; mine certainly. Embracing modern enhanced learning techniques was something that I had previously had only a dangerous amount of knowledge of - you filled in much of the "grey areas" on how to correctly apply the varying styles. My experience with you was not only educational but certainly
caused me to personally reflect on how many opportunities to be optimistic there are!!!!
YOUR 14 DAY CHALLENGE NEARLY GOT THE BEST OF ME!!!! It was the cause of much consternation on a few ocassions but I got there and still hold firm the points you raised and offerred us that day.
I cannot recommend you to sales people, trainers, etc highly enough; in fact I am keen to persuade my new line manager to get you to come down to my new job at the moment."
Martin Jones, Trainer, RAF Halton
"JC's sessions are a real source of fun, inspiration and motivation. The first session on Attitude that I attended helped me on the path to making a major life decision, which until then I had kept putting off.
I now tackle problems differently due to his guidance and my life has become much more positive and enjoyable.
I was so inspired that I have arranged for various courses to be run where I work and the feedback from staff has been incredible. Even the
most pessimistic of people have found it has helped them! If you get the chance, go see him in action and be inspired to live your life better."
Jude Hoy, Asst to the GM, Loughborough SU
"I first saw John when I delivered a two day course at Loughborough University. I can honestly say that I sat and smiled throughout the entire two days as he revitalised my drive to deliver training.
I went back to my work the following week with an inner energy that I had never experience before. I've since spoken to John on a personal basis and I can only say how grateful I am for his advise and words of wisdom."
Nilesh Pancholi, Trainer, Centrica
"I found Johns training not just interesting but practically useful too. The concepts he teaches have effected the way I think about my interaction with others, and made me more conscious of my attitude and speech. I'm more careful now about what I'm communicating to others"
Becky Pritchard, Learner Mentor Coordinator, Loughborough College
"I found the Just Communicate experience extremely helpful and enlightening. The information given completely changes your way of thinking.
Before I spent some time with John Copeman I was always frustrated and quick to see the worst in people and in any given situation.
I now have a brighter outlook on life which has improved my personal, social and business life 100%!
I have become a better person thanks to Just Communicate, and I have helped others to see things the same way as I do, which means that the
feel good factor will continually spread.
I would recommend everybody to share in this experience so that they may gain a healthier outlook on life."
Kerry Ely-Simpson, Manager, Leicester City Council
"Being a sceptical so and so and also at times a bit of a misery guts, I really was prepared to sit and listen with my usual British cynicism. My initial thoughts were that it would all be a load of American type, hype and probably a waste of time.
The training was during the last 6 months of 2003. I can't say I remember a lot about the course undertaken - bar one exception - the training given by John Copeman and his offer of a 14 day challenge. I found it entertaining and something interesting to talk about and debate even though not necessarily agreeing with many parts of it.
To be straight, I never really undertook the challenge itself and its quite hard to explain, but the powerful messages given have just somehow got in my consciousness and stuck with me. I can genuinely say it has changed the way I think and this is some 18 months later and weirdly without thinking about it very much.
I really don't profess to understand it all, but it has changed me as a person both within my working life and more importantly in my life in general. Friends, family and colleagues have noted and commented that I have 'changed', words like more - positive, confident, happier, calmer, consistent - have been used.
As I say, how this has come about I'm not sure. John gives the message that the human brain is a powerful and amazing thing. This has all happened really without my making any big effort.
I guess a key thing was learning how to choose what type of person I wanted to be and understanding that the person to decide that, was me. It perhaps was a matter of John switching on the electricity to connect my brain up, to help new approaches and attitudes to my life.
If the opportunity ever occurs I strongly recommend that you take the chance to just listen. Though, I should add that it is worth going out of your way for. It's a bit of a cliché but you have nothing to lose and possibly a new outlook on life to gain."
Gary Wyatt, Quality Manager, COBA Plastics Ltd
"John is a creative thinker, with enthusiasm and ability to respond with a high degree of initiative. He enabled and freed me from rigid thinking.
The programme has questioned my approach to learning and how I mentor and guide students that I work with. Using my learning journey from the programme I have become more confident and have
used in my workshops learning styles that best suit the individual learner. The programme builds on positives and promotes individual and this is because the John makes you feel comfortable and subject matter interesting."
Suresh Mistry, , Leicester City Council
"Some 3 years ago I was introduced to a new way of facing the day. Thiswas only the first step into a new approach of my Future life.
I have to thank JC for releasing my mind, allowing a diferent vision of each and every problem I have had ever since."
João Abrantes, Founder, INDUMA, Máquinas Industriais Limitada
"I attended an ILM conference a couple of years ago where John was giving the key address about learning.
His innovative and fun approach to the subject was excellent. As a trainer myself, I know how difficult it can be to hold the interest of a large group of people. John's style is one that cannot be ignored, and I certainly went away feeling I had learned something."
Derek Novell, Commercial Course Manager, Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce
"Working as an unqualified accountant, my future prospects of career development are somewhat restricted. The ability to sit examinations
rationally without qualm and panic always eluded me.
Having been recommended to John by my training manager, I was amazed how soon into our first meeting John was able to form a very accurate assessment of my personality, my shortcomings and my potential. His easy and open manner made it very comfortable for me to discuss, what has always been, a very difficult issue. I am now actively studying for the final examinations
of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Discussions with John have helped me change my study technique and more importantly have given me
a greater desire and confidence to succeed."
Colin Wyatt, Accountant, South Kesteven District Council
"I attended an accelerated learning course that John facilitated. I found the course content both exciting and challenging as I had to develop my creative thinking. Since the course I have used a lot of the knowledge that John shared with with us both personally and professionally. The aspects that have stayed with me has been the emotional content of learning and the importance of ensuring that people have fun whilst learning no matter how challenging the material.
In addition to this I have developed my understanding of how the brain works and how to use this in my training and assessment of students. I appreciate the learning that I have
gained from the course and have recommended it to other colleagues.
Currently I share my understanding with social work students and encourage them to engage in using this as part of their work with children and families.
On a personal level I have gained confidence in using the techniques and the results have been
positive. Thank you John for opening up a new door as a facilitator I found you to be patient, understanding, insightful, knowledgeable and kind."
Sherma Patel, Trainer, Leicester City Council
"I found John's new E-Zine thought provoking and entertaining. I loved the visual images, particularly the cat looking in the mirror - brilliant. Some of the statements on the final page were illuminating and hilarious and make you think why we don't question and investigate things as much as we should. For me, it was just the right length and its casual but informative tone and nature drew me in and kept me there. Great stuff - keep it coming!"
Colin, Founder, Connect Training and Development
"Just a few words to say what a pleasure it was to hear you speak at the meeting recently.
You deliver your message with real clarity and purpose and in such a way as every delegate must surely go away with a "I can do that today" feeling from listening to you.
A really serious message delivered with sufficient humour to keep it interesting.
I would not hesitate in recommending you."
Michael Markham, Managing Director, Stanair Industrial Door Services Ltd
"John Copemans courses have left me with a motivation I never knew I had. Inspiring and thought provoking, I would recommend them to anyone."
Sarah Lewin, Contracts Manager, Electec Services Limited
"An excellent course, both entertaining and practical. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get the very best out of themselves!"
Oliver Simmonds, Year in Industry Delegate,
"I think folks are fed up with me being so positive - they think I have some sort of disease - what they don't realise I have caught something and it is infectious in a nice sort of way and they are catching it to.
Thanks to you I now stand outside my only little box, look at myself and see the image I project to everyone else.
I now know that the lines on my face have been created through smiling - its not old age."
Trish Branson, Manager, Leicester City Council
"John Copeman's training day was a new fresh experience for me. I have attended many training lectures before, but none as interactive and
interesting as this one. Not only did I learn new skills but 4 months on from the course I am still using them every day to focus on my tasks and goals. Since the course I have also re-arranged the way in which I organise my days activates enabling me to become a more productive worker. I was very impressed with the layout and content of the course and I am very much looking forward to attending the next one."
Dave Malyon, , Bardon Aggregates
"We built a direct Sales and Service Company in the UK Industrial sector that greatly benefited from John Copeman's motivational training , goal setting ,time management and planning consultancy and Success Coaching.
Despite fierce competition and massive challenges we achieved a 4-fold sales revenue and 10-fold bottom line increase- in a 7 year period -we would simply not have achieved this without John's help and guidance.
Most significantly John is very different from other training institutions that we have used... why? - because he actually cares about his clients long term success and really 'lives and breathes' the business objectives . Result -long term measurable and sustainable improvement via our most valuable asset - people.
I recommend John Copeman because he delivers the best 'value added training, development and Coaching' that we have experienced -one of our wisest investments."
Graeme Fuller, Group Sales Director Europe, Donaldson Company Inc
